ButGran Canaria was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Trieste 77-71 on Tuesday night. Trieste made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American Jahmius Ramsey (190-2001, college: Texas Tech) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and Mexican-American Juan Toscano-Anderson (198-1993, college: Marquette) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Trieste players scored in double figures. At the losing side French power forward Pierre Pelos (205-1992) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American-Slovenian center Mike Tobey (213-1994, college: Virginia) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Gran Canaria's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
